I'm trying to boot Ubuntu from the boot partition set up by my primary
Fedora Core 5 installation, where Ubuntu is installed (via the alternate
install iso) on an LVM partition as a secondary Linux distro.
I had tried multiple things to get Ubuntu to boot on my system and

Thanks for the sudo touch /forcefsck tip.
Doing that didn't cause the problem, it ran fsck normally and then booted up
normally, which i don't really understand why.
I can't really tell if its related to any other bugs, googling ureadahead
status 4 just gives me the impression that it is just a
:-\ fsck ran at boot again but this time it booted normally, I suppose
for whatever reason it's not a problem for me anymore...

Okay, I don't know what's going on with the bug reporting software, but
my last two emails showed up empty even though Thunderbird's Sent

gigabit switch. After repeated insertions and removals, it may hook up
at 10mb/s, but that happens less than 1 in 20 times. Ethertool shows
the card successively trying to negotiate at 100mb/s full-duplex,

An external monitor does work, only problem is the internal display.

OpenSuse beta uses kernel 3.1.0rc7-3. Suspend does work. since i'm running it
from a usb stick i can not test hibernating.
I also tried the most recent fedora beta, same problem as opensuse.

Yes, wifi does work when removing acer-wmi module from opensuse beta. It also
works after suspending the laptop.
Bluetooth is unreliable. I can pair my laptop with my phone, but I can not use
my laptop to send or browse files on my phone. It's also impossible to enable
it after it has been

That's not the bug that I am reporting.
The bug is that the configuration panel won't let me configure the time server
settings while nptd is running. The bug is that I need to hack daemons and
config files and type silly formulas in terminals to make NTP work.

Sometimes it look all right. After resizing the panel width, you can see
fragments of other parts of the panel in the icon and even move them around

Rhythmbox (Maverick) appears as a child of the sound/volume applet.

have selected wrong partition to install to. I am dual booting Ubuntu and

I'm experiencing the same problem with Xorg. I'm not even using compiz.
After resuming from a suspend, Xorg's memory usage increases and stays
up until a restart.
