Hello, since the 9.04 (RC) version, cheese doesn't start properly with a very
similar error, on a eeePc 901. It was running fine on the same hardware,
version 8.10.

I've been able to reproduce this issue, but it has nothing to do with the .pcf
import
With the same settings on network-manager-vpnc:
On Ubuntu 8.10 everything is fine
On Ubuntu 9.04 RC : using the nm-applet result in the same error (VPN
connection error: VPN connection could not be established
I confirm, a restart is needed, it works after this, without any update.

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: network-manager-vpnc
From a freshly installed 9.04, with those two packages:
vpnc_0.5.3-1_i386
network-manager-vpnc_0.7.1~rc4.20090316+bzr21-0ubuntu2_i386
The buttons Add and Import are yet not available, I've to run vpnc from
CLI.
Adding the ppp
Cheese version 2.26.0 fixed my problem, many thanks.

On a epc901 running 9.04, I've the very same problem, very slow to reach the
vpn connection due to the slow scroll and the small screen.
What information can I provide?
apt-cache policy network-manager
network-manager:
Installed: 0.7.1~rc4.1.cf199a964-0ubuntu2
Candidate:
I'm able to reproduce this problem with the following steps:
- start FF
- minimize FF
- open a link from another software (Purple or Thunderbird)
- maximize FF from the task bar, the decorator is missing.
Workaround:
- select FF with the missing decorator, ALT+SPACE then Minimize, then ALT+TAB
Same problem on Thinkpad W530 with 12.04 LTS

Thanks Claudio,
Indeed, changing the page-cache-size with the following command:
gsettings set org.gnome.Evince page-cache-size 2014
We are now able have a way bigger zoom ( 3200% ) (screenshot attached)
** Attachment added: "evince_zoom_high.png"
Any news on a fix in the trunk? As of today, on Ubuntu 19.04, I still
have to change with gsettings.

Updated to Ubuntu 20.04 and still this issue: very limited zoom in
Evince PDF.
Will this bug ever been fixed (15 years old) or will we have to apply
the aforementioned fix on every update?
