I don't really thing the problem is nvidia related. If I remove nvidia 3rd party drivers and go with nv driver the same thing happens. no gdm no lightdm , gdm is ok and startx is ok. It's like if when I do startx I don't have .xstartup fileI purged lightdm and gdm and installed again..still
