Jaunty, I could toggle internal/front mic using alsamixer and both
worked properly, but in Karmic, the internal mic (the one located on the
screen) doesn't work at all. The external mic, (the one you plug into
the jack) works
Right, so I've done a clean install of Karmic on the Dell mini 10, about
a week ago, and don't seem to have that problem with the default gnome
network manager.

I'll most probably try Karmic soon enough. It's just that I have no way of
testing it on the mini in the near future for the lack of a sufficiently large
usb stick. There is also the gma500 issue to deal with, and I don't know what's

I've been using wpa2 for quite a while, but nothing else, static IP, and all
the default networking packages. Iptables also has the default configuration.

Just tested OpenSuse RC2 with the 3.1 kernel. Same problem, APs visible,

Looking at the Xorg.conf, I've noticed that you use 'vesa' as the graphics
driver. That's probably why the HDMI output doesn't work. Take a look at the
Poulsbo wiki page on how to install the driver.

Just checked, and apparently, I have nux-tools 0.9.46-0ubuntu4
installed, but the problem remains as originally described.

I believe that Unity (not 2d) has the same behavior, is there any easy way to
correct that as well? I've noticed that every time I open Firefox, I always
unmaximize it, which is very annoying.
