didn't help me... neither does switching GTK engine to Qt. If I set GTK

Yes, Jaunty has quite usable plasma-widget-network-manager some time
now. I tried it a couple of weeks ago but wasn't impressed. It's
actually usable now and fixes the problems with knetworkmanager most
importantly!

In Kubuntu Jaunty, after setting the GDK-styles in systemsettings the
~/.gtkrc-2.0-kde4 file gets deleted after loging in again. This results
in an (ugly) default GTK theme for eg. Firefox. My workaround is copying
~/.gtkrc-2.0-kde4 to ~/.g

Konqueror seems to have problems communicating with the webserver and
stalls while getting the webpage content on my system. This can be
illustrated by following the conversation with tcpdump.
This happens on KDE 3.5.5 on Edgy. Another system (

incompatibilities with my ADSL router, but the problem also occurs on
pages retrieved from my local webserver (apache2). So there is
definitely no (external) network device involved in the bug.

refreshing) and guess what: my router doesn't like ipv6 DNS requests...

have no clue what version of samba and kde pclinuxos2007 ships.
For your information, Edgy doens't suffer from this bug and ships with
samba 3.0.22 and kde 3.5.5.

I suspect this is the same problem as in bug #95460 and if so, then this IS a
bug in both Samba and Kcontrol's samba configurator:
Kcontrol shouldn't add a (misconfigured) msdfs proxy= line and samba should
gracefully ignore this line.

Yes, creating /var/lock/sane resolves the problem (for me) in 1.0.31.
The problem is that /var/lock is a temp fs under Debian/Ubuntu and thus
should be recreated on every boot, instead of once during installation
(or by sane on startup).

I'm using Ubuntu for all Desktop fonts. Attached is a screenshot of the problem.
Title is Ubuntu 9 bold, menu is Ubuntu 9 and terminal is Ubuntu Mono 9.
This is after updating Artful's libfreetype 2.8.0 to 2.8.1 from Michael
Marley's PPA.

It seems a plasma desktop bug, window title renders fine now, but bold
fonts in panel and kmail still render the ugly way.

Since the upgrade from Xenial to Yakkety bluetooth is disabled after
resume from standby. I have never before experienced this behaviour in
Ubuntu so I regard this a regression.

This bug (I experienced it again this morning) is not related to the
kernel. I ran my self-compiled 4.8.1 on both 16.04 en 16.10 and only
