was installing NVidia 325.08 via the tty-1method... crtl-atl-f1...then
sudo services lightdm stop... sudo ./NVidia ... restarted then first
thing upon being on desktop this error reports.
nvidiacould not compile the kernal... so i guess it is to saucy
salamander

well i am/was "affected" by this bug...(i am using the 4.15 kernel, and
lsb_release -rd reports
Ubuntu Bionic Beaver (development branch); release 18.04)
but it is more an operational inconsistency IMO because after doing
sudo apt --fix-broken install (which was need before the sudo apt
installing google chrome. then got the bug.
clean installed unbuntu daily bionic Iso, this plymount bug happen just
before the usual update of programs right after it completed.
will be back with the debug file... will uninstall chrome, and then
reinstall it.

running unbuntu 18.04 upgraded from 17.10 (do-release-updrade -d)
and it seems that everytime I
sudo apt update, sudo apt upgrade, reboot... I get this error (plymouth)
i am running mythtv frontend, which is set to auto-start after login.

i have tested the proposed package and it works (on ubuntu-MATE 17.10
clean install)
on a clean install of ubuntu-MATE 17.10 (iso from october 2017) , then
the usual standard sudo apt update, sudo apt upgrade... then checking
the setting in "pre-released updates" in developers options in
