When I start up the liveCD, i see the progress bar, then the screen goes
black, and there is no video output. The system starts up normally, I

I have the same problem with my mac mini 1.83 core 2 duo; intel 945 GM
graphic controler + Apple Studio Display. I tried with Hardy alpha 6. I
see the Ubuntu splash and the progress bar; when the bar is full, the
screen goes black; after a while, I hear the chime, but I get no video
output. I
Sorry, I'm new to this business, but I'll try and open a new bug report.
Meanwhile, I tried with failsafe graphics mode and got exactly the
same result: after the progress bar finishes, I see a blinking
underscore for a second, the screen flickers once or twice, then goes
