I can't reproduce this bug. The terminal command

pango-view --font=Ubuntu Mono 48 --markup --text='span
fallback=falseABC#13;A#x202F;C#13;ABC/span'

shows that the non-breaking space #x202F; in Ubuntu Mono is the same
width as any other character. If you have steps to reproduce the
problem, please provide them when reopening this report.

Hello Thomas!  It would be really useful if you could make a list of any
other non-printing codepoints that also need forcing to the standard
monospace width (== 500 F-units).  This would enabling fixing them all
in one pass.
