I still have same problem. Using Libre Office 4.2 and Ubuntu 13.10.

So it works here in Saucy and is expected to do so with LibreOffice
upstream commit 26d092b3635680248f8b176564409e6c0c24bfbf. So if you
still experience this please file a new bug with an exact reproduction

Seems like the HUD is really working fine with LibreOffice in Saucy for me,
too. At least for now. I freshly installed Saucy after it was officially
released.
But now the HUD doesn't look into indicators at all... But that goes for
another bug report. The LibreOffice issue, which is much more
It works after the first try, too. What you describe used to be
precisely my problem. This has been overcome now.
It does (rarely) happen that the drop down list with the last used
commands in the HUD doesn't respond. This can be overcome by a new
search, after that also the drop down list works
It is not fixed for me in Saucy. Start Writer, use the hud to open a
file. Try to use the hud to do File Close, the hud appears but
clicking Close does nothing.

FWIW, likely an unintended sideeffect of:

Colin, this is suddenly (since today?) also the case on my machine. Some
update of whatever package seems to have broken it again. Hope this gets
fixed again for the release.

I hope it, too... Still didn't try the beta, though. And it is still
frustrating to feel as a bug was fixed just accidentally. It is still
unassigned here... The feeling of being ignored is still here.

It seems obvious to me that the HUD (or at least the desktop version of
it) is a dead project. Look at the other HUD related bug reports, almost
all of them are unassigned. This one is the most heated of them all, and
it is still unassigned, for almost a year now! And the bug is only
worsening
Correct me if I am wrong but google documents have its own sort of HUD.
How convenient is that? :)

Your argument seems plausible. However, in my case and several others
the HUD and libreoffice actually do communicate. But only in a fresh
instance of libreoffice in which no document has been opened or
created.
Let me explain with an example: I launch libreoffice writer from the launcher,
wait
Yep, the same here with the fresh instance. I've noticed it a while

Nautilus commands are not displayed, too. Maybe it's generally HUD-related, and

Same as #43. This bug is consistent for me. When I start Writer or Calc I can

Same here on Raring, fresh install. And I am experiencing the same as

I agree with dimovnike. LibreOffice Writer and Calc will not open when
