Seems like the HUD is really working fine with LibreOffice in Saucy for me, too. At least for now. I freshly installed Saucy after it was officially released. But now the HUD doesn't look into indicators at all... But that goes for another bug report. The LibreOffice issue, which is much more

It works after the first try, too. What you describe used to be precisely my problem. This has been overcome now. It does (rarely) happen that the drop down list with the last used commands in the HUD doesn't respond. This can be overcome by a new search, after that also the drop down list works

It seems obvious to me that the HUD (or at least the desktop version of it) is a dead project. Look at the other HUD related bug reports, almost all of them are unassigned. This one is the most heated of them all, and it is still unassigned, for almost a year now! And the bug is only worsening

I agree with dimovnike. LibreOffice Writer and Calc will not open when double clicking a file. Also I have disabled the global menu using Unsettings and then sudo apt-get remove thunderbird-globalmenu. Only LibreOffice now shows global menu and cannot seem to disable it. Using 13.04 and LO 4. 64
