Ok, so it is in the whitelist already, well... for some reason the first
time I used the headphones it blared through the speakers as well, so
even though it is supposed to be whitelisted for jack sense that DID NOT
occur. I had to manually turn on the headphone jack sense by using the
program gno

Not sure what that means Does that mean there is no fix, it is
already "fixed" since some devices need it off? Shouldn't the devices
that need it off be specifically blacklisted, or is that not possible?

I will have to check on this tomorrow... I assume it is registering,
because after installing gnome-alsamixer I can check the "Headphone Jack
Sense" and it will work. It was not enabled by default however. Thanks
