I've been getting this for the past couple of Firefox releases. It happens even if I nuke my .mozilla directory and run Firefox sans any extensions. I've also seen it happen on my Win 7 machine at work, also when I've tested with no extensions and a new profile. From what I've read online, it happens more than just to Ubuntu 14.04.
