Unusable? Rolling back to Feisty for this seems a bit unnecessary in my eyes. Untick Global Address List in Evolution's Autocompletion settings and you will receive no more annoying popups. I, too, ran through this bug following an upgrade to Gutsy. This made Evolution unusable for me, which caused me to roll back to Feisty.
