gnome-xcf-thumbnailer is not to be found in Ubuntu 20.04 repositories

If using the package from 19.10 repo, it does not create the .thumbnailer file
→ is this expected ?
No thumbnails for .xcf are shown anywhere ( nemo, gthumb or else )

I'm setting this to confirmed because following the steps from the link
in the description resolves the issue for me. I'm using Artful Aardvark
(17.10).
