You shouldn't have to. Lxc does it for you on the container directory,
and on ubuntu by default your homedir should be world readable.
Encrypted homedir presumably changed that for you.
(The container dir itself not having the right ownership usually means
something went wrong during a previous l
If the homedir was what you changed, then I think this bug is invalid.

Thanks, that seems to work. I guess it was just an expectation issue -
didn't realise I'd have to fix things up manually to get unprivileged
containers to work.
