[Bug 1736593] Re: ThunderX: TX failure unless checksum offload disabled

2018-02-20 Thread Scott Burns
I am glad to report that the problem has been resolved. The issues I
saw with 4.13.0-35.39 during verification appear to be KPTI-related.
After upgrading to 4.13.0-36.40, all is well.

Thanks to everyone that assisted with moving this forward.

2018-02-19 Thread Edward Vielmetti
Thanks Dann. Scott is testing this and has found an additional issue,
but we're not sure yet whether it's directly related or independent.
He'll file a more detailed report or open another Launchpad as
appropriate.

Thanks Edward. Please beware of LP: #1749040 as you test. We're not
seeing it with the latest build, but it is not yet root-caused.

2018-02-14 Thread Kleber Sacilotto de Souza
This bug is awaiting verification that the kernel in -proposed solves
the problem. Please test the kernel and update this bug with the
results. If the problem is solved, change the tag 'verification-needed-
artful' to 'verification-done-artful'. If the problem still exists,
change the tag 'verification-needed-artful' to 'verification-failed-
artful'.

If verification is not done by 5 working days from today, this fix will
be dropped from the source code, and this bug will be closed.

See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how
to enable and use -proposed. Thank you!
