Upstream thinks its solved now: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/rafael/linux-pm.git/?h=linux-next if bionic does not get kernel 4.16 soon, then the required patches need to be backported to 4.15 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1748487 Title: Please upgrade to get kernel management To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/1748487/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1748487] Re: Please upgrade to get kernel management
The commit was at one point applied upstream, but it seems it caused problems and was later reverted in commit 00c611def8748a0a1cf1d31842e49b42dfdb3de1. Your best bet is likely to file a new bug at bugzilla.kernel.org (developers may be ignoring new comments on closed bug reports). I fail to see the relevance of the link to debian's acpi-support package. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1748487 Title: Please upgrade to get kernel management To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/acpi-support/+bug/1748487/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1748487] Re: Please upgrade to get kernel management
The acpi-support package has nothing to do with kernel patches. ** Changed in: acpi-support (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1748487 Title: Please upgrade to get kernel management To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/acpi-support/+bug/1748487/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
