Public bug reported: Fresh installation of Kubuntu 18.04 LTS Beta reveals no bugs or usability issues.* This is a problem, as we may alienate new users from other operating systems who expect that something will be broken. A seamless user experience may be jarring and unwelcome.
Suggest we add some random bugs as a form of community outreach. Good targets include: 1. The installer, especially if it nukes the boot loader 2. Make elinks the default web browser 3. Introduce random memory leaks Also the sleek Plasma interface is likely to disappoint people used to gaudy, skeuomorph-laden UIs. As a target of opportunity, we could add unnecessary features to the GUI. *There are some bugs in related applications, such as Konsole, but unfortunately not enough to persuade users that Kubuntu is a serious, mainstream operating system.
