Cursory googling around, implies this is java9 incompatibility; netbeans 9 is the first release to support java 9 (it's unclear if 8.2 does). The simplest fix is to rebuild with just java 8 support and use java 8 at runtime. ** Affects: netbeans (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Nish Aravamudan (nacc) Status: In Progress ** Changed in: netbeans (Ubuntu) Status: New => In Progress ** Changed in: netbeans (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Nish Aravamudan (nacc) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1763091 Title: netbeans fails to start due to java9 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/netbeans/+bug/1763091/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
