Public bug reported: Steps to reproduce: 1. have `file1` somewhere 2. make symbolic link to `file1` as `symlink1` (for example with Caja: Make Link or <Ctrl+M>) 3. rename `file1` to new name (now `symlink1` is broken) 4. try to edit `symlink1` properties to point to the new name
Expected results: * Caja allows to change properties of the symbolic link Actual results: * Caja does not allow to change properties of the symbolic link ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04 Package: caja 1.12.7-1ubuntu0.1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.4.0-104.127-generic 4.4.98 Uname: Linux 4.4.0-104-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia ApportVersion: 2.20.1-0ubuntu2.18 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: MATE Date: Sat Aug 11 14:45:43 2018 InstallationDate: Installed on 2010-12-05 (2805 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS "Lucid Lynx" - Release amd64 (20100429) SourcePackage: caja UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to xenial on 2017-06-24 (412 days ago) ** Affects: caja (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug bionic cosmic xenial -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1786609 Title: Caja does not have option to change properties of symbolic link To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/caja/+bug/1786609/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
