Oops! Sorry! I think I actually did check this, but somehow never reported... In any event, I have just tried it again. NO persistence, on new computer. Same result: I actually did a screenshot (which looked just as the previous did) but of course, without persistence, I could not save it on the USB. Although I mounted my data partition and saved it to there as well, I cannot locate it, for some reason... I either messed up the name, or ... Same USB of Lubuntu 18.10 release. At the VERY least, I plan to make the first install of this new computer be L19.04, and will test it then. I realize my previous message is a bit obtuse, if not completely incomprehensible. The question is that you seem to have a 1024x768 window which is larger than the 1024x712 minimum I found. So can you confirm that it indeed does not work with 1024x768 on a fresh boot of the live CD?
