I installed that package and rebooted - still got blinking cursor in video terminal and it looks at least to me as the same errors in the first terminal. The difference in the behavior after installing this package is that now the errors seem to display in a loop in an interval of 6-7 seconds also

It's difficult to get the full log from the video. Can you check to see if your logs contain the crash dump, either by checking journalctl (e.g. 'journalctl -b -1' to access the previous boot, 'journalctl -b -2' to access the boot before that, etc.) or by looking for it in the /var/log/kern.log*
