I think ideally we want the testing to be done on the exact built packages. Ok, thanks Yuhua for adding these details. Per the extensive pre-release 11.0.5 tests and the sanity checks of the same on the builds in proposed I'm setting the state to verified then. P.S. The SRU Team usually wants the extensive tests to happen on exactly the builds that are in -proposed. We have couple of layers of testing on different Linux distros including Ubuntu before releasing the open-vm-tools 11.0.5.
