[Bug 1874986] Re: App grid can't switch pages when using low resolutions such as 800x600
It's likely the root cause is the same as bug 1876889 but since the symptoms are different we should keep the bugs separate. [Bug 1874986] Re: App grid can't switch pages when using low resolutions such as 800x600
In this duplicate of the bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source /gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock/+bug/1876889 I found this temporary fix by Sebastien Bacher (seb128): $ gsettings set org.gnome.shell.extensions.dash-to-dock extend-height false I does solve the problem, but the dock will only occupy part of the screen. I can live with that for now. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1874986 Title: App grid can't switch pages when using low resolutions such as 800x600 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1874986/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1874986] Re: App grid can't switch pages when using low resolutions such as 800x600
Could be another dashtodock issue, other problems at low resolution seem to be due to it, would be worth testing without the extension enabled -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1874986 Title: App grid can't switch pages when using low resolutions such as 800x600 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1874986/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1874986] Re: App grid can't switch pages when using low resolutions such as 800x600
I'm also affected by this bug. Only to me it happens when I put my Dell Laptop e7470 into the docking station. Attached to the docking station are 2 monitors: Dell 21" @ 1920x1080 and a Dell 18" @ 1600x1200. The applications menu does not scroll down when the 2nd Monitor is attached. Confirmed that by unpluging it. As soon a it's plugged in, the menu won't scroll and the bottom line is jittering. So it doesn't only happen on low resolutions, or would you consider 1920x1080 and 1600x1200 to be low?
Seems the issue only occurs at low resolution. It's also unclear if the problem is specific to ubuntu-dock like some of our other overview bugs are. When I disabled ubuntu-dock the bug stopped happening. But when I re-enabled it the bug also stopped happening.
