[Bug 2078592] Re: Lots of errors after upgrading to Ubuntu 24.04.1, after asking if I want to upgrade

2024-10-31 Thread M@ts
Hello again, more info
This could be one of the solutions to the soup. Have now found 1 explanation
for Upgrading and a clean installation that both crash.

3 /tmp files have run out of space.

See attached Journal.log, plus df-H

NOTE Have run Boot Repair it says ok.
Forget it, same stop as before, broken Grub
Now I want this to be fixed quickly, I'm sitting with a broken PC, many others
are waiting too

2024-09-09 Thread M@ts
Perhaps forgot the most important thing:
Grub2 in 24.04 does not work together with Grub 22.04. Therefore, the Boot
function is destroyed

 Here's the problem:

Ubuntu forgot to test 22.04.4 against a non UEFI pc. This is a big mistake and
affectseveryone without UEFI.
Hope you change so users with 22.04 LTS and higher are not asked to upgrade to
24.04.4 without checking UEFI.
Otherwise they will have the same problem as me.
The solution for me was to reinstall 22.04.4 LTS, now everything is ok

Here you can get another small error sent to Snap store 22.04.4 LTS. See
