Just a quick note: I havent experienced this problem in a long time with 8510p nor 8710w after installing the latest beta ATI and NVIDIA drivers (via kanotix scripts). With those versions present in the repository I had constant problems. I haven't used them since so I'm unable to confirm whether

Another 8510p here. I'm currently using Vista because of this. Under Ubuntu the fan is always blasting with hot air. After about 10-20 minutes of usage under Hardy (usage = internet browsing), it will be around 70 degrees celsius, more if flash or java are being used. Under Vista, the
