[Bug 220952] Re: Out of Range for 800x600 full screen games

[Bug 220952] Re: Out of Range for 800x600 full screen games
** Description changed: Two games; Wolfstein: Enemy Territory and Extreme Tux Racer. Both like to do default resolution of 800x600. If any other desktop resolution is used, no monitor error is reported. Open Arena, Alien Arena (though broken) appear to function. Hardware Software Ubuntu 8.04 nvidia-glx-new Nvidia Fx 5200 1440x900 native monitor resolution. Update: Thanks to amyrose on irc. I narrowed the problem down to this; Monitor - does not support 800x600 @63 or @64. + does not support 800x600 @63, @64, @65. + + Broken for Nvidia and NV driver. ** Description changed: Two games; Wolfstein: Enemy Territory and Extreme Tux Racer. If it had the right configuration for the monitor, the bug wouldnt exist. It's matter of x using the wrong refresh rate for the monitor. It really is a simple fix and just needs little attention. In the meantime, I fixed it using nvidia-settings but thats not perfect. -- Out of Range for 800x600 full screen games https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/220952 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
