I stopped using Thunderbird a few years ago. I cannot confirm whether this is still an issue. Hello Kayvee. Thanks for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with Thunderbird. You made this bug report in 2008 regarding Thunderbird and there have been several versions of Thunderbird since then. Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the ticket? Or, if it is still a problem, could you come to Launchpad and make a comment to that effect? I can confirm this kind of buggy behavior for Ubuntu Jauntry and Thunderbird 2.0.0.21 as well. To verify this issue is not related to extensions, I disabled all I had (only two: German language pack and Lightning) and restarted Thunderbird. However, the problem persisted. What's strange is that while my machine at work suffers from this bug, my laptop installation at home does not although both run Jaunty.
