Windows 7 is okay, but I can't see why you would think it would be lighter than Ubuntu by any significant margin... it's not. If you want a lighter Ubuntu use Lubuntu. It is based off of LXDE and WAY lighter than Windows 7. Plus, if you use Windows 7 you get dem viruses and Big Brother Microsoft
