2010-10-09 Thread ionash.
Works for me too (10.10 x86 and Kodak Z710), but this is only
workaround, not fix. Steven, did You fill bug report for mpt plugin (I

2010-10-09 Thread Steven Koskela
No ionash, I have not opened a new bug report on mtp plugin, but if you
want to do so, feel free. I do see a few open bug reports already
dealing with Rhythmbox's mtp and various usb devices (pen drives and
cameras). I'm not sure if this should be marked as a duplicate of one
of them or if it should get a new report.

[Bug 581087] Re: [amd64] digital camera fails to mount

2010-07-02 Thread Steven Koskela
It looks like my problem with my Fuji FinePix automounting was being
caused by Rhythmbox's Portable Players - MTP plugin. As long as
Rhythmbox was running with the MTP plugin enabled, my camera would not
automount. Disabling the MTP plugin allowed the camera to automount and
removed the usbfs: USBDEVFS_CONTROL failed cmd gvfs-gphoto2-vo error.
Oddly I also have a different camera that automounts regardless of
whether the MTP plugin is enabled.

Very sharp Steve. I confirm also when disabling the MTP plugin, my
camera mounts just fine.

[Bug 581087] Re: [amd64] digital camera fails to mount

2010-06-30 Thread Steven Koskela
I've gotten the exact same gvfs-gphoto2 error message with a Fuji
FinePix Z20fd camera on two separate computers running x86 (not AMD64)
Lucid. In both cases, simply logging out and logging back in caused the
camera to auto-mount.

[Bug 581087] Re: [amd64] digital camera fails to mount

2010-06-29 Thread madbiologist
@Spoilerhead - Support for the Canon EOS 7D was added in libgphoto2
2.4.8, which is the version used in Lucid, so it seems you have a
similar regression to the one identified in comment #2.
