How are you trying to open the file? Are you doing it from the command-
line or from File-Open... or File-Import...?
Also, does the entire application crash or do you just get a warning
dialog?

For me, the file opens fine if I go through the menus. However, if I
open it from the command-line with inkscape logo.eps, I get a dialog
with:

Error: /undefinedfilename in (Desktop/logo.eps)

I open eps image in file - open.
Then i saw Import from pdf dialog. And then this error.

And look at the preview image. This contains

I can't comment on the original crash, because I can't reproduce it.
However, apart from that, there is a problem in Inkscape with respect to
the color gradients in the image. Attached is a pdf file obtained from
the .ps file using the DOS command : ps2pdf logo.ps logo.pdf. I believe
this is the
