DUDE you totally made me week. i put the imac27_122 in the alsa-base file but no luck. BUT i thought about updating the kernel to 3.5 and after a reboot. POW! working headphone jack.. so just put the options snd-hda-intel model=imac27_122 at the end of the file, update the linux

I also have this problem. After a bit of reading I found out about the imac27_122 model, but it doesn't work for me either. The best sound output I can get (from the comes from mbp55, but then the audio never plays from the headphones. I own a 27 imac (the model before the retina display model).

Sorry, it's late here - a quick sentence clarification: The best sound output I can get (from the internal speaker) comes from the mbp55. With the mbp55 model, I get no headphone sound, but there is a headphone setting in alsamixer. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member
