Public bug reported: I need Digest/SHA1.pm. Being as this is provided by libdigest-sha1-perl (available in oneiric as well as upstream Debian Sid), I was going to install it directly from the Ubuntu repository: $ sudo apt-get install libdigest-sha1-perl Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done E: Unable to locate package libdigest-sha1-perl Checking in packages.ubuntu.com shows that there's nothing wrong with my installation; the package itself is entirely absent from 12.04 in its current form.
