Title:
[Asus F200MA] bluetooth
make
sudo apt-get update
first
2015-03-27 13:03 GMT+03:00 Alessandro Languasco langu...@gmail.com:
Hi all
I enabled -proposed as written in
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed
but I got no new kernel to update. see
uname -a
Linux languasc-asus 3.16.0-30-generic #40 SMP Sat
Download the attached file and extract it to your home folder, open terminal
window and enter the following
sudo apt-get install build-essential linux-headers-generic
cd bluetooth-3.16
cp /boot/config-$(uname -r) .config
cp /usr/src/linux-headers-$(uname -r)/Module.symvers Module.symvers
make -C
Here is the source of that kernel. The same patch type. But it seems that
firmware does not load.

Don't know what to say; this is far beyond my skills. Maybe it could be
useful to try with another laptop like mine; but I don't know anyone
else who owns an asus f200ma.

You received this
Or try
sudo apt-get install -f
It seems that the official image is partially installed.
2015-01-15 20:33 GMT+03:00 Alessandro Languasco langu...@gmail.com:
dpkg -l | egrep 'linux-image | linux-headers'
ii linux-headers-3.16.0-29 3.16.0-29.39
Use synaptic to manage packages.
2015-01-15 21:32 GMT+03:00 Alessandro Languasco langu...@gmail.com:
the apt-get install -f plus reinstallation of your package did not change
the situation.
I have the same output for dpkg -l | egrep 'linux-image | linux-headers' I
had before.
I'm sorry
Strange is that the driver does not even try to load firmware.

Try to run
echo 'options asus_nb_wmi wapf=4' | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/asus.conf
and reboot.

off/on and dmesg as an attachment.
** Attachment added: dmesg.log
Just in case give
dpkg -l | grep 'linux-image'
dmesg | grep btusb

with synaptic I removed all the headers and images except yours. I
reinstalled your files, shut off and on again but no luck.
No indicator; and the bluetooth
