Only on Live session, mozc-utils-gui is not essential.
ibus-mozc works without mozc-utils-gui (and without japanese language pack).
If mozc-utils-gui isn't installed, just indicator of ibus-mozc doesn't
show menus
related mozc-utils-gui (e.g. "Character Palette" menu).
I think that almost users who would like to customize input method by
mozc-utils-gui, install ubuntu first and then exec mozc-utils-gui and
customize input method.
However if there are users who live in 'live' session, they will expect that
mozc-uitls-gui is installed on live session. But I think these users are very
rare case.
On non-live session, mozc-utils-gui needs to be installed for Japanse Input
Method users. Many Japanese users customize keymap style (MS-IME like
or ATOK like, and so on...), customize romaji table, add/edit user's
dictionary...
Could this be automatically done by ubiquity and language-selector as like
language-pack?
My conclusion:
* dropping mozc-utils-gui from 'live' is acceptable.
* mozc-utils-gui should be installed non-live session with out-of-the-box.
