Hi!
I am happy user of the eee pc 901 with ubuntu eee 8.04. However, I don't really
know what are the differences between normal ubuntu and ubuntu eee? Does some
eee hardware not work on generic ubuntu?

ubuwalker is wrong. removing the line in fstab lets gvfs handle the
mounting and it is R/W

Commenting out the line in fstab allows mounting, and should theoretically
allow r/w access, but it only allowed read access for me on the 701.
Obviously, not every technical solution for a bug works for everyone, and in
this case, removing the line did not work for me. If this solution doesn't

In trying to use the solution suggested by Christopher I encountered a
problem.
When try to save the file, the text editor tells me I do not have
sufficient privileges. I have looked around trying to grant myself the
privilege, but it isn't coming to me.
