Can you test with a normal Ubuntu image. This doesn't sound like
something that would be specific to Ubuntu GNOME.

Yes, in Legavy Bios mode, the Live CD starts well. In UEFI mode, it starts,
but the screen resolution and refresh frequency are obviously wrong. So the
screen is dark, and there are several UG screens in tiles on my LCD panel.
