In particular, I see changelog entries such as "some cosmetics.", which
do not appear suitable for update in Precise under the existing policy,
and I do not believe that keepalived has an exception. However, specific
bugs can be cherry-picked - see the policy for details.

Since a straight update does not appear compliant with policy as
upstream do not have a bugfix-only branch, this bug is effectively
reduced to "please fix bugs", so I'm marking it as Invalid as there is
no specific action that can be done here. If there are specific bugs
that have fixes that should be backported to Precise, then please file
bugs on those and follow the SRU procedure as documented. If you do so,
then feel free to reopen this bug to track progress.

Bug description:
  There are a number of bugs that have been address in newer version of
  keepalived. Please update this package on precise. I believe it is
  currently 1.2.2 where as trusty has 1.2.7
