Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.
Please see the stable release update policy, rationale and procedure documented at: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates In particular, I see changelog entries such as "some cosmetics.", which do not appear suitable for update in Precise under the existing policy, and I do not believe that keepalived has an exception. However, specific bugs can be cherry-picked - see the policy for details. Since a straight update does not appear compliant with policy as upstream do not have a bugfix-only branch, this bug is effectively reduced to "please fix bugs", so I'm marking it as Invalid as there is no specific action that can be done here. If there are specific bugs that have fixes that should be backported to Precise, then please file bugs on those and follow the SRU procedure as documented. If you do so, then feel free to reopen this bug to track progress. ** Changed in: keepalived (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu High Availability Team, which is subscribed to keepalived in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1325084 Title: Please update package keepalived on ubuntu 12.04 LTS (precise) Status in “keepalived” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: There are a number of bugs that have been address in newer version of keepalived.
