kernel but not with the standard 386 one. I haven't tested it with the
generic but I think it has the same problem.

I just suspended and resumed with kernel 2.6.17-10.33 about 10 times in
a row, in various states of AC and ethernet and had NO problems at all.
It hasn't panic'd for me yet, but I have no access points around, so I
haven't tried it with wireless at this point.

Okay, maybe this is what had gone wrong before: The test function works
without a colon, but the actual back up resulted in the following error. With
the colon back in, the backup went ahead fine. Anyway, I'm just happy to know
one option that works for what I'm doing

Same problem. I plug in USB drive and the window requesting what to do
pops-up. I select to Open in New Window and then nothing happens. When
I navigate to /media/sdb1 the drive appears to be empty. But the size
it reads for it is all wrong as well (read like 4kb on a 1GB thumb

Firefox randomly crashed (closed without explanation) every now and then
for about one day before completely refusing to start. It has been
continuously open for days before the problem occurred.
After segfault on start, these did not help:
- Try to start firefox many many times
- killall
Might be related to GTK or Gnome, as after the problem, also gnome
screenshooter (PrintScreen) failed to save a file.

How about as an option where by there is a simple tick box that says
click here if this computers hardware has already been registered or
something similar, which could then tie the pc in with your database id
and thus alleviated this situation.
I really believe that this could be a great tool

actually, if I take my TT-C1500 out but leave the TT-C2100, it works.
The card could be broken, I've never really used it since it doesn't
work in dapper (won't tune). I even tried building the latest v4l-
sources but they have the same problem.

I tested the newer kernel without the workaround, and I am no longer
experiencing kernel panics on my X60s on the second suspend. However,
my screen only powers on when I have the e1000 module whitelisted. The

DISCLAIMER: I don't have a PPC (which is why I didn't catch the bug to
begin with), so I can't test if that patch works. It came from the
KTorrent forums, where people have reported success with the patch.
I have tested that it doesn't break compilation on amd64 or i386.

Right, the problem is it wants libuim0, which was in Dapper but has been
replaced by something else in Edgy. It seems the prerm script needs
this, and as it's been removed, it fails. So, go to /var/lib/dpkg/info
/uim-common.prerm, put exit 0 right after the comments (lines beginning
with '#').
It's not working, but things have changed. With the Dapper KDE 3.5.5
packages, 'dcop kded mediamanager fullList' now lists the ipod:

With my limited testing, sleep works properly, though not as quickly as
OS X, using Fedora Core 6, Test 3.

I am running Edgy Eft with latest updates as of Oct. 14th. I had
rhythmbox playing one of the pre-installed internet radio stations while
simultaneously adding a podcast feed when it crashed. Firefox was the
only other open program at the time. See attached crash report.
