Bem, vou chutar um motivo..
O firefox e o xulrunner tem de ser atualizados juntos, visto que um é
parte do outro. Os language packs também, pois ele contém a tradução
do firefox, e o do beta 5 não funciona no rc1. Além disso, alguns
aplicativos do gnome usam o renderizador do firefox, por ex, o

Eu instalei a versão beta do Lime lá por fevereiro deste ano.
Ainda não tive nenhum problema com o programa. Apenas alguns bugzinhos, que
não mudam em nada no seu funcionamento.
E olha que eu uso ele direto.

uma versão beta...mas eu gostaria de saber, se ao instalar um programa desse
tipo que não está no repositório é conviáfel? eu fui até o site do lime e
baixei o deb para ubuntumas minha dúvida é, por ele ser uma versão
