We performed further testing with NFS clients of various kernel versions:

First of all, don't worry about the error messages from hdparm. Hdparm
is for IDE disks. Try the same thing with sdparm instead, and you'll
see it works fine.
Then, the messages in your kernel log (dmesg) seem normal, so no clues
from there.

1) Take two NFS clients, one of which is running 2.6.24-something (machine B)
and the other can run any version (machine A). You can equally well use the
NFS server itself as machine A, as long as machine B is running 2.6.24 NFS

Current daily builds of Intrepid should support dmraid, although only in
the alternate and server install CDs; please give them a try and report

Not sure if it is related, but both my pc's(an HP laptop and a desktop)
both download the package lists completely every time i try to update
after turning on either of the computers.
Is this normal during Alpha, or should it just be updating the lists
rather than re-downloading the entire thing?

Note that when London is on daylight savings time, its timezone is
referred to as BST (British Summer Time), not GMT. GMT itself is not

I've tested kernel 2.6.27-3-generic a few minutes ago and it seemed to
work. I managed to get my WM5-Phone connected and synced without any
problems. In my case, this bug-report seems to be completed.

git-core depends on libcurl-gnutls and doesnt recommend curl at all.
Thus, I assume that this bug is now fixed. If you dont think so, please
