Nope on evdev managed keyboards server-side cause all navigation keys to

kb101-us on server and evdev-us on the client causes the delete key to

About your suggested solution: I don't think the Ubuntu installer
nowadays sets anything in xorg.conf during installation. Therefore, it
would probably involve a lot of extra work to fix this specific problem
in that way. I think there are other ways to blacklist features or set
default options

My earlier comments were all regarding -11.24. On a X61s vendor
backlight control has to be used. Without the modprobe option I can
write any value to the brightness controls in /sys or /proc w/o getting
