Well! I made the hard decision for a clean install of Karmic Koala alongside of
Windows XP instead of a Wubi install as a program in Windows XP after first
un-installing the previous Jaunty Jackalope Wubi.
I decide to do this with a view to removing Windows XP completely at some
future date.
Hello Tim, Dave and group,
Thank you for your input, I am greatly appreciative of it.
I do have a new computer, just built it myself last November. I have 3 hard
drives that is close to 1 terrabyte with a core 2 duo Intel processor. At my
age, even the fast things I do slow these days, so
not as smart as you guys.
Ooops! and gals of course.

Hi,At present I am running 64-bit Jaunty Jackalope 9.04 which I obtained via
'Wubi' and have pretty well been using it as my sole operating system for the
last two months as opposed to the Microsoft XP Home that I also have
installed. After the release of Ubuntu Karmic Koala 9.10 which is due
that it didnt work for. The links I referenced
has some doco
to help you.

I went System/Administration/Software Sources. Is this where you meant? I am a
newbie and not sure how to proceed to turn off the proposed source activated in
sources.
