As I commented earlier you may find where you program crashes, just add
SIGSEGV handler and export stack trace somewhere. I'm sure that there is
segfault, not stack overflow or call of exit function.

I use both Windows and Linux. BTW Many people don't have a choise of the
OS on their jobs.
I may provide a patch that would make it available to switch the
behaviour in the runtime (I guess a line in xorg.conf would be fine). So
we don't break the standard, people don't need to recompile xorg
Me too very upset about this bug: there is patch for several yers - no
one cares. I suggest compromise: add autotools|meson option to enable
this feature. At least every distro would be able to decide whether they
want to provide nonstandard behavior.

combintaion on my win machines. So it's definetely not an option for me.
Since I use Cyrillic layout I switch layouts frequently (people using
Latin layouts are less affected). Imagine saving action shortcut

Facing the same. gnome-keyring-daemon often fails to start, if it
manages to start it asks for Login keyring password.
BTW gnome-keyring-daemon always starts from root, even if I run it from
user in terminal!

I've got the principle of work. You've marked my bug as invalid - Is it
possible to see gtk laf on non-gnome DEs by default ? (I guess this
question should be adressed to openjdk developers). When will ubuntu
packages of openjdk be shiped with gtk laf by default? (which bugs
>If the Java application is not using the default LAF as defined by
/etc/java-X-openjdk/swing.properties and its LAF can only be changed
through _JAVA_OPTIONS then it means the application is setting LAF by
itself.
I have my own application (https://github.com/Yanpas/PdfMerger), which

unfortunately this configuration file doesn't work. I am still to use
_JAVA_OPTIONS which is annoying, cause every time I start anything written in
Java I face a message "Picked up _JAVA_OPTIONS ...".

By the way the limitation for non latin users are stricter. For example
cyrillic symbols in UTF8 consume 2bits, not 1. So filename may be
maximux 71 symbols. AFAIR chinese symbols consume 3 bytes...

Sorry. Restaring xfsettings daemon doesn't make any effect on indicator
icon, the whole qt app (clementine), but if I run xfsettingsd --replace
twicely then thunderbird styles will become normal. BTW xfsettingsd is
loaded by default on system startup. When I type xfsettingsd --replace
first time -
Maybe xfce-session-manager should be patched like this: until xfsettingsd isn't
loaded - do not start any process

I have the panel at bottom and too two workspaces (1 left, 2 right) and
I haven't this bug anymore. Maybe you should try creating new user and
experimenting in clean configuration workspace?

Have anybody tried to remove light-locker? Maybe light-locker causes it?
Or lightdm... As for me the bug isn't reproducable currently. Also I
have upgraded to 3.16 kernel and suspending is much faster now
