Hi,
Ubuntu, though is targetted at a general computer user, is often used
by many who also regularly code in C/C++. Also, it's quite popular
among college students, who have some sort a basic course in C. And
when they try to compile a .c file, and find that stdio.h isn't
available, they are

available, they are lost. I agree that all they have to do is insert
the cd, and run a small command or open up synaptic. But, it isn't
mentioned anywhere in the documentation prominently enough.

I am not sure what version of Ubuntu you are using. But on my system,
opening the
