i formated the partition and updated my grub. but no use... the problem
still remains the same...i cannot access that particular network
any more suggestions...

10.04 is LTS. there is no NON LTS version. unless you meant 9.04

See that your IP-address is auto. If you see the Broadcast SSID- ( name of
wireless) after giving the Pre-Shared Key it should be work..see your IP.
