As xwax requires you to have relevant hardware, here's a workaround to
try if "rtprio" works for you:
1) sudo apt install jackd1
2) add "@audio - rtprio 99" to /etc/security/limits somewhere
3) make sure you're in the audio group
4) new login/shell
5) run "jackd -d alsa"

here's what I got through in my shift today:

Here are a few things lintian found wrong with the package:

For an Ubuntu upload 10.2.5-0ubuntu1 would be the correct version number
in debian/channgelog as opposed to 10.2.5-1.
