Oh, my bad.

https://packages.ubuntu.com/jammy/libsdl2-ttf-2.0-0
https://packages.ubuntu.com/jammy/libsdl2-ttf-dev
I get what you mean.

libsdl-ttf

2022-12-05 Thread Norbert de Jonge
Any chance you can update package libsdl-ttf.
It's more than 10 years old now.
(With source package file SDL_ttf.c, even for "Jammy" (22.04LTS), being
dated Jan 15 2012.)
Thanks.

Best regards,
Norbert

wine

2016-10-29 Thread Norbert de Jonge
Is there any way you can get a more recent wine than 1.6.2 in the apt
repository?

Wine 1.6.2 was released more than 2.5 years ago, which in Wine-time is
pretty ancient.

And it's one of the packages that takes a tremendous amount of time to
compile, especially on slower machines.

That combination (very old + difficult to compile manually) is pretty
bad.

Best regards,
Norbert

quake package; suggestion

2013-04-29 Thread Norbert de Jonge
/usr/share/doc/quake/README.Debian

Suggestion. In that file, maybe add at the end of the second paragraph:
Both the directory name and the files need to be in lower case.

The MS-DOS stuff is upper case, and the GNU/Linux quake executable
looks for lower case files.

Best regards,
Norbert
