Differed issue than I thought - for some bizarre reason, the y axis seems to be flipped... i.e., in order to unlock the phone (), I need to hit the bottom left of the screen to recognise it as a touch input for the 1. Doesn't seem to be anything I can manually reverse to make this happen.

Hi. You just do not have enough space on the screen. You can however get around it by switching to Staged mode. Then You need to lock rotation while in landscape and enable window mode again and you will be able to minimize your windows because you will have enough horizontal space to see
