My MX4 works fine too with ota 8.5.
I think yours it's an hardware problem, because I experienced your same
issue during OTA6.
I resolved sending back my MX4 to Meizu customer care for fix it.
This is a common issue on MX4 devices, and Meizu fix it under warranty.

Same problem for me with Meizu MX4 (OTA-12) and "Nissan Connect" bluetooth.

google emails
text messages
telegram (with delay)
lost phone calls (only light blinking)
calendar (sound doesn't work)

Hi list,
I received last Ubuntu Touch upgrade some days ago, now reached OTA-13, but
I never had before all these problems.
With respect for all the people that had worked on this update, on MX4 is
the worst update that I ever received before. I'm using MX4 from june 2015,
from the european launch

I leaving the phone off for a few seconds and then boot it again.

I remember that there are two way to reach this goal:
1. Changing Android BSP from 4 to 5 (with OTA-13 this process is completed,
right?)
2. Backport MediaCodecSource
There's something new about this?
