Hi Ari, like Alberto says, Facebook notifications have been disabled.
GMail and Twitter use the same software to poll its respective web api for
updates. This is set to happen every five minutes, but you can force this
to happen by using a command [1]. The log for this activity can be viewed
realtime by use of this [2] command. This log file may include sensitive
information. Please take a look at it and report back.

Thank you!

Jonas

Re: [Ubuntu-phone] OTA-13 - Notificationsmail

2016-09-23 Thread M G
Hi,

in my own case MX4 and OTA-13, notifications work only with:

google emails
text messages
telegram (with delay)
lost phone calls (only light blinking)
calendar (sound doesn't work)

>From settings I have allowed all the apps for notifications.
We need to open a new bug?

Thank you,
Marco

Re: [Ubuntu-phone] OTA-13 - Notificationsmail

2016-09-23 Thread Wayne Ward

I have notifications from the following:

facebook
twitter
google
dekko emails

text messgages
telegram
phone calls
sd card (turned off works now!)
calendar
notes (only on one device when add a note unless i open notes on other
device)

few things to do this the problems are with telegram and facebook all the
others are fine i setup a google account and basically added that email
address to facebook as well as the one i use for logging in then i can
still log in as standard but the emails get sent to the google account and
i get all the facebook notifications perfect - not native but it works.
Telegram i pin to the sidebar and open it and leave it open thn i get them
mostly all of the time! last of all dekko i have to install openstore and
run the unconfined version then i open tweakgeek and run this unconfined
and leave it open and get emai lnotifications all day as long as dekko
doent crash! this is fully tested as i have a pebbble and im connected to
it and get the notifications all day to my watch! :)
Also use open store for rockwork for pebble to connect if thats of any
interest.

thats not bad id say, that was my main goal as i had all this working on my
droid with my lgr watch

Facebook will never send notifications, they turned off that feature
several months ago.
Twitter works fine here; are you use the webapp from Canonical?

Ciao,
  Alberto

Facebook will never send notifications, they turned off that feature
several months ago.
Twitter works fine here; are you use the webapp from Canonical?
